They Won't Catch Me Here !!

This MOLE seems to be having a little bit of trouble getting round at the moment. With the ground being very damp we have had to use the pavements...that is when they are not being used as a car park...... and you would think twice in most towns before you left your car just here ........... hee hee

And you complain about our MOLE hills?

Seems that this MOLE has been having fun in these early winter days....just checking around our fine town I find our human friends have forgotten the law as it relates to PARKING........ come on guys and girls ..... play the game........try parking with consideration and maybe a little common sense..........

I said I could find a Lorry Park ?

Us MOLES can be a bit slow ... and pop up here and there where we are not wanted ...but even a thoughtless MOLE would not leave a great big thing like this in the middle of the road for over 10 minutes ...causing all sorts of problems ...let alone breaking many of or road traffic regulations ... so don't just moan about where we poor short sighted MOLES pop up ...think before you PARK your weapon and be a little more considerate please.............

British Home Stores....In Pembroke Dock?

Well this MOLE had a fun day the other day Up we popped in the earth work on the exciting extension at the Cleddau Bridge Hotel...so like all inquisitive MOLES I had a quick look round...and what a smart place it looks all spic and span....a bucket full of cash has been buried into the hotel......and its great.......BUT you would think they could buy a coat stand....not just borrow one from British Home Stores. This mole is sorry for the poor picture quality....you have to hurry when you are a MOLE in a smart place like this

"Irish"..........Ferry

Us MOLES as we all know are not renowned for our driving skills.....but you have to give this guy a prize for one-up-manship or bow-manship........so why or how?......... this Fraser Freight van has the best parking slot on the ship?.......or did he run the ramp and leap on board at the last minute?...we will never know

No Sense..... No Vision

Well as you all know us MOLES have very poor eyesight, so its always great when you human types make things easy for all us visually impaired lot.......... in this case we are pleased that the nice button covered pavement patches have been placed where we can cross the roads. But not all of you get it right as you can see............ This MOLE felt his/her way across the road at this crossing and BANG one flat nosed MOLE. What part of the human anatomy would this post reach?........... yep you guessed it some plonker has placed a dirty great post right in line with the nice council supplied crossing place............... well done....well you should be!

Sign of the Times

Well I never....IM back been away for a holiday...Us MOLES need a break sometimes...While I was away I was discussing with old collage chums some of the odd things our fellow mole students used to do in the good old days....drink, smoke , party and nick the odd cone, policemans helmet or something for the wall at the students union.......So as an observant MOLE I was not surprised to much to find this sort of thing still goes on. This warning sign on a fence in the town seems to have been borrowed...... by guess who.......well we would't like then to damage there nice motors....or knock down the fence....
P.S. SWALEC if you want it back, for a discount on the MOLES bill we will tell all...he...he

Mine Hunter "Bombs"

This story tried to stay underground...But the MOLE unearthed it........ Don't tell anyone thought the secret service will skin me...Alive.... A few of weeks ago it seems the crew of HMS Atherstone made the headlines in Liverpool for finding a bomb........ Then she sailed off in all her glory to the next job here in the Haven.......So what you ask.......Well the MOLE can report that the higher you climb the further it is to fall......In this case HMS Atherstone was on her way to park beside the very smartly painted and presented RFA Sir Galahad on Carr Jetty....When opps...Bang...yep she rammed...well collided...well moored aggressively ....to the side of the said Sir Galahad.... Not perhaps a clanger, but maybe not the best behavior of an office and gentleman....So always be aware, fame can bite................and so can MOLES

Buoy....What a night....tilt

We MOLES are not all that keen on water, so we try not to get to close....But having been hanging about in the docks this mole had watched with interest the development of BUOY being constructed at great cost.........This mole not being a sailor is pleased to see that it is now being tested off Hobbs Point......But is it meant to flash lights or send out a radio beam......Or as in this case POINT in the direction you need to go........Who said sign posts were a thing of the past......Happy tunneling........ Hopefully in a STRAIGHT line

Meteor-right or Wrong

Well what a turn up…a meteor shower seems to have rained on the Dock, the MOLE can report. Just take a stroll down to the back of the St. Govan’s Centre…and there they are all over the place….. Blooming great lumps of…well rock or maybe meteorites from space … But maybe they are part of the new landscaping…whoops no can’t be that you would need planning permission!! No it seem the nice person who owns the land has received outline planning permission for the site…..and needs it left clear… the bit he owns that is…not sure about the car park…unless they were good enough to tarmac, streetlight and white-line a bit for the now defunked Co-Op…(Asda or the County Council) I think not…no such thing as a free lunch…….The MOLE is not known to watch out for his human friends…but we did notice that some of the stones had been accidentally…. placed i.e. exactly on the line of the right of way from the Western Way crossing……Lets hope that there is movement on this piece of real-estate before the expiry of the 5 year period of the outline permissions granted so the nice little piece of land does not become a derelict eyesore in the centre of our Town. On a positive note…it’s a great site for us MOLES now…thank you

Panic in Pembroke Dock...Wild life scare

Being a very small MOLE the risk I took to get this story to you makes me a very brave MOLE......There was a twitter tearing round the dock about a great big bird causing undue panic amongst the sea gulls.......So off I burrowed to see what was what....And yes the cries of fear were justified.......Homing in on a flock of gulls in Front Street was this huge wild looking 4 legged "BUZZARD"...So birds beware, 'cos if this bird gets off the ground/sea we are all in trouble

One Can Short of a Paint Job

Yep I know its been a while since you have heard from this smart.... MOLE ........ but with the cold weather it has been necessary to stay deep and warm . I did stick my head up to notice a new paint job on the Ferry. Great job boys and girls ... but what about the other side.... run out of paint did we? .....

My Little Trailer Two.....Gone

Irish Ferries!.....Further staff savings?...New ferry in service soon?

The MOLE has received the exclusive news that Irish Ferries have solved their manning problems...Seen in the dock this week is this the replacement for the two cruise ferries....This chain ferry Lynher II which I believe can operate with a minimum crew of two...and transport 73 cars....Now that's what I call a saving....Happy sailing.....he...he...he
Thanks to the web project for this great story line!!!!!!!!!!!

We need to NOTICE things

After my sad news in my last report I burrowed off to see what else was changing in our Town...... and yes I found a interesting Planning Notice (which should by law be placed where it can be read by the general population) at Albion School ...... well I know us MOLES are not renowned for having good eyesight.... But to see this one you would need a zoom lens...Secured to the old school notice board behind an iron spike and chained, locked fence....come on play fair at least let us read the notice even if when we comment nothing happens

One More to Bite the Dust ?

On my travels I popped up to have a quick look at the unusual site of the sun....and before you could say bury yourself I was ear holed by a barrage of distressing words...which gave this mole great cause for concern...."I am closing my pub and converting it in flats"...... can this be true... are we to loose yet another hostelry...... what a shame.... so lets wait and see... but be prepared to say goodnight for ever at The Navy Inn

In the Darkest of Pembroke Dock Night's

As I patrol the byways of this MOLE friendly town .... night and day ... I can say I am often surprised by what I encounter .... so after my skip spotting a few weeks ago...what do I find outside our Town Hall .... the biggest mattress depositary I have ever seen ...... un-lit .... unmarked ... and inexplicably dumped ....... is Pater Hall to be skipped ... who knows ... On a serious note the Hazcem code indicates WHITE ASBESTOS .... So
treat this SKIP with great care .... The MOLE is going deep .......... KEEP SAFE

The Earth Moved

There I was sound asleep in my little hole....when at around midnight the earth moved...were we at war....had we been invaded.....no silly me you humans like to blow up tons of gunpowder to celebrate the coming of the NEW YEAR...good on yah....It sounded like fun........but you could have warned us poor dumb animal's....Happy New Year......from THE MOLE in his now quite hole on this bright New Years Day.
